Working late hours at office

It's half past 8 in the office..
But the lights are still on...

PCs still running,
Coffee machines still buzzing...

And who's at work?
Most of them???

Take a closer look...
All or most specimens are??

Some male species of the human race...
Look closer...

Again all or most of them are bachelors...
And why are they sitting late? Working hard ??No way JJJ

Any guesses???
Let's ask one of them...
Here's what he says...

Wat's ter 2 do after gng home...
Here we get to surf, AC, phone, food, coffee…. That is why I'm working late...
Importantly NO BOSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!

This is the scene in most research centers and software companies and other off-shore offices.
Bachelors "time-passing" during late hours in the office just becoz they say they've nothing else to do...
Now what are the consequences...
Read on...

"Working"(for the record only) late hours soon becomes part of the institute or company culture.
With bosses more than eager to provide support to those "working" late in the form of taxi vouchers, food vouchers and of course good feedback,(oh, he's a hard worker...
goes home only to change..!!).

To hell with bosses who don't understand the difference between "sitting" late and "working" late!!!
Very soon, the boss starts expecting all employees to put in extra working hours.
So, Hey Bachelors let me tell you, life changes when u get married and you have a family...
Office is no longer a priority, and a family is...

And that's when the problem starts...
Becoz you start having commitments at home too.

For your boss, the earlier "hardworking" guy suddenly seems to become an "early leaver" even if you leave an hour after regular time, after doing the same amount of work.
People leaving on time after doing their tasks for the day are labelled as work-shirkers...
Girls who thankfully always (its changing nowadays... though) leave on time are labelled as "not up to it".
All the while, the bachelors pat their own backs and carry on "working" not realizing that they are spoiling the work culture at their own place and never realize that they would have to regret at one point of time.

So what's the moral of this post??
* Very clear, LEAVE ON TIME!!!
* Never put in extra time " *unless really needed *"
* Don’t stay back un-necessarily and spoil your company work culture which will in turn cause inconvenience to you and your colleagues.

There are hundred other things to do in the evening..
Learn music...
Learn a foreign language...
Try a sport... TT, cricket.........

Importantly get a girlfriend, take her around the town...
And for heaven's sake net cafe rates have dropped to an all-time low (plus, no fire-walls)! Try cooking for a change.

It’s a typical Indian mentality that working for long hours means very hard working with 100% commitment.
People who regularly sit late in the office don’t know to manage their time.
SIMPLE.

Being in your Twenties - Something special :)

It is when you stop going along with the crowd and start realizing that there are many things about yourself that you didn't know and may not like. You start feeling insecure and wonder where you will be in a year or two, but then get scared because you barely know where you are now.

You start realizing that people are selfish and that, maybe, those friends that you thought you were so close to aren't exactly the greatest people you have ever met, and the people you have lost touch with are some of the most important ones. What you don't recognize is that they are realizing that too, and aren't really cold, catty, mean or insincere, but that they are as confused as you.

You look at your job... and it is not even close to what you thought you would be doing, or maybe you are looking for a job and realizing that you are going to have to start at the bottom and that scares you.

Your opinions have gotten stronger. You see what others are doing and find yourself judging more than usual because suddenly you realize that you have certain boundaries in your life and are constantly adding things to your list of what is acceptable and what isn't. One minute, you are insecure and then the next, secure.

You laugh and cry with the greatest force of your life. You feel alone and scared and confused. Suddenly, change is the enemy and you try and cling on to the past with dear life, but soon realize that the past is drifting further and further away, and there is nothing to do but stay where you are or move forward.

You get your heart broken and wonder how someone you loved could do such damage to you. Or you lie in bed and wonder why you can't meet anyone decent enough that you want to get to know better. Or maybe you love someone but love someone else too and cannot figure out why you're doing this because you know that you aren't a bad person.  You want to settle down for good because now all of a sudden that becomes top priority. Getting wasted and acting like an idiot starts to look pathetic.

You begin to think a companion for life is better than a hundred in the shack and for once you would not mind standing tall for that special someone which otherwise you had never thought of until now.You go through the same emotions and questions over and over, and talk with your friends about the same topics because you cannot seem to make a decision. You worry about loans, money, the future and making a life for yourself... and while winning the race would be great, right now you'd just like to be a contender!

What you may not realize is that every one reading this relates to it.We are in our best of times and our worst of times, trying as hard as we can to figure this whole thing out.

Share this post to your twenty-something friends.... May be it will help someone feel like they aren't alone in their state of confusion...

Believe in Humanity, Let your helping hands :)

What are we doing on this earth?
What brands us go about every day?

In other words, why are we even born if we are only to die some 70 or 80 years later?
Isn't there more to life than to say, “Eat, drink, and be merry for tomorrow we die?”

As young bloods, we are more bouncing and lively!!!
We are here by natural selection.

Only the strong survive.
We must all find our own reasons for being here.

Every creature and particle on this earth has some purpose to be fulfilled.

Try to discover it and fulfill to your best...

What is the world around us?
Our world is surrounded by so many goodies (so called)

Our Goodies

We forget rest of the world outside our boundary. There are many people waiting for our helping hands which we never know…

The young children who are powerless to complete their studies are waiting for our help...

The grannies and grandpas are waiting for our onset to their place.

"Blessed are those who have the old with them", goes an old saying.

We spend so much on the so called goodies... Won't you mind spending a few pennies for them...?

Little of that amount can be spent on our grannies, grandpas, brothers and sisters who are in these homes. Old age homes have sordid tale of neglect by families, the drought of care and affection faced by parents who have outlived their utility and value to their children.

We won't be able to provide them a paradise, but our little efforts can bring surplus happiness to their lives. Those who help children help humanity with immediateness which no other help given to human creature in any other stage of human life can possibly give again.

Mother Teresa insisted that "If you can't feed a hundred people, then feed just one". We may not be a millionaire to feed a 1000 people... But we have a capability to feed atleast a few ravening souls…

Children and older people are both marginal social groups
No man is so poor as to have nothing worth giving..
Childhood and old age are the most treasurable stages in our lifetime. But many people are abandoned from their families and friends.

Childhood is a temporary state; old age is permanent and can last considerably longer. Importantly, the degree of social understanding of these two groups can be seen as unfair; we have all experienced childhood and have some insight into the experience of childhood.

However, we have no comparable vantage point which form our understandings of old age. This lack of understanding may fairly explain why there are more negative labels about older people than children, but taken together, all of these factors mean that though both groups are devalued in relation to adulthood, old age suffers greater defamation than childhood.

Why old age is called a second childhood?
Old age is considered the second childhood because as we age, our bodies and indeed minds start degenerating into what we once were; helpless children.

Always keep in mind "One hundred years from now, it will not matter what kind of car I drove, how much I had in my bank account, or what my clothes looked like. But the world may be a little better because I was important in the life of a child."

Let us come forward to help our people in simple ways that we can...

Hair loss - Remediation

Can we women ever be truly happy with the way we look? Sometimes it’s a blemish, while other times it’s the onset of wrinkles that bothers us. And our hair, well, it just seems to have a life of its own!
Hair loss is a huge concern for us women, because we can’t afford the luxury of shaving our heads off like men. The wide range of anti hair fall products makes our predicament even worse, since none of them seem to work. Thankfully, there are certain natural ways to stop hair fall we can try that might help turn our frown upside down.
Onion Juice:
Sounds awful I know, but onion juice is great to reduce hair fall and initiate re-growth. All you need to do is, squeeze out the juice of one onion and apply liberally, especially in the roots of your hair. Keep on for an hour or so, and wash off with a mild shampoo and conditioner. The results are slow, but you will surely see a difference in a couple of months’ time, if used bi-weekly. Even garlic and ginger juice can have the same effect.
Fenugreek Seeds:
Soak a few fenugreek seeds overnight and grind to a paste the next morning. Add some drops of coconut or olive oil and apply to the scalp and hair. Keep it on for two hours before washing off with your regular shampoo. Doing this at least twice a week will show improvement in hair fall within a month.
Green Tea:
Green tea is rich in antioxidants that stimulate hair growth. Soak a couple of green tea bags for a while and apply while still warm on the scalp. You can wash your hair after one hour.
Coconut Milk:
The benefits of coconut for hair are unbeatable. You can either use readymade coconut milk, or make it by squeezing it out of fresh, ground coconut. Massage the milk into the roots till it dries. Wash off with water and a mild shampoo. Your hair will instantly feel nourished and manageable.
Gooseberry or Amla:
Whether its amla juice or powder, it will surely help put a stop to hair loss. You can make your own homemade oil by boiling dried amla with pure coconut oil, until it changes colour to black. Apply this oil twice a week for two months and you will see your hair getting thicker and shinier.
Hair fall from Stress
Severe hair fall could also be because of a health concern. Regular exercise and proper diet is essential for good health. Stress can also cause hair loss, so meditate to keep your mind clear. Avoid junk food and take vitamin supplements regularly. If the problem still persists, you should see a dermatologist and take proper medication.

Need or Greed?

Take a look around your space right now. How much of what you have and own is really what you need, or is it just a collection of stuff you have amassed over time as testimony to your buying power?

If after your assessment you realise that half or more of what you have is not really necessary then congratulations for discovering this fact before your home turns into a storage depot! Others, I can see are still rationalizing the importance of their attachments in their quiet minds. It's OK, take your time.

Unfortunately we live in a world where greed overpowers need. Where we are measured not by our values but by the quantity and quality of our possessions. Collecting items for the sake of propping up our ego or declaring our status in the world will still leave us with a feeling of insecurity and that we are never good enough. It's good to take a reality check from time to time and to declutter our minds as well as our homes.

Our craving for physical objects is a sign of discontent within the soul. If we are hungry for physical pleasures and pursuits, it's because we are empty from the inside. We try to fill the void by accumulating ever more. And even after getting it, there is still the desire for more and more, which implies,it was never enough and never will be! In fact greed is a bottomless pit that never ever gets filled.

Only you can define what is need vs greed. A need is something that is necessary for our livelihood and well-being, whereas a want simply aggrandizes our ego. You get people's approval when you state it as a need but disapproval when you say you want something.
Imagine a world without greed. Its Time to recognize what will really fill the need of the soul and to stop chasing after the illusion that more of the material possessions are going to make us feel better. Declutter your life. Live simply and authentically.

Win the game of sustaining your inner peace and power :)

Find Good in Everything :)

Many incline to see a half-filled glass as half empty rather than half full. When observing at a situation, the popular affinity is to think about the bad side rather than the good. There is an enlightening story regarding Robinson Crusoe. He was deserted on a desert island and had to find a way to survive.

While he was on the island he made two lists. One list he called evil and one he called good. He thought over his situation and he entered what was happening to him into one of the two columns.

This is what he wrote: I am stranded on the desert island, which is bad. But I am still alive, which is good. The rest of the people on the ship died, but I survived. Next, he wrote, I am all alone, which is bad. But I am not starving, which is good. As he thought further about his situation he wrote, I have no clothes, which is bad. But, on the other hand, it is so hot here that I do not need clothes, so that is good. Then he wrote, I have no weapons to defend myself against animals, which is bad. But there are no wild animals along this beach here, so that is good. Finally he wrote, I have no one to talk to, which is bad. But the ship is near the shore and I can get things from the ship for my basic needs, which is good.

After going over his list, Robinson Crusoe decided that there was no situation so terrible that humans could not find a reason to have gratitude to God. There was a silver lining in everything. This attitude is a healthy one and saves a lot of time being anxious, worried, depressed, and disheartened. This time can be used instead to remember God, by staying focused on our spiritual goal. Every time we complain and fret over our situation, we are wasting valuable time.

Two people may go to the same party. One may spend time finding fault with all the people there, grumpy about the food, and feeling upset that his or her expectations were not met. Another person may find enjoyment being with the other people and selecting food from the buffet that he or she enjoys.

Both are in the same environment. One is finding what is wrong and the other is looking for what is good and joyous. When they both leave the party one will say he or she had a terrible time, and the other will say he or she had a great time. Which one will feel more uplifted and buoyant at the end of the party?

Similarly, each day we face many situations. We can choose to focus on the bad and spend the rest of our time complaining and being disappointed, or we can choose to focus on what is good and take joy and pleasure from it. We can develop spiritually by keeping our attention on being positive and occupying our time with spiritual thoughts.
If we choose to occupy ourselves with negative thoughts that rattle around our head, we will waste valuable time that could be spent on remembering God.

Find some good in everything. Even when faced with challenges, we can think of the bright side and make the best use of our precious human life.
