Can we women ever be truly happy with the way we look? Sometimes it’s a blemish, while other times it’s the onset of wrinkles that bothers us. And our hair, well, it just seems to have a life of its own!
Hair loss is a huge concern for us women, because we can’t afford the luxury of shaving our heads off like men. The wide range of anti hair fall products makes our predicament even worse, since none of them seem to work. Thankfully, there are certain natural ways to stop hair fall we can try that might help turn our frown upside down.
Onion Juice:
Sounds awful I know, but onion juice is great to reduce hair fall and initiate re-growth. All you need to do is, squeeze out the juice of one onion and apply liberally, especially in the roots of your hair. Keep on for an hour or so, and wash off with a mild shampoo and conditioner. The results are slow, but you will surely see a difference in a couple of months’ time, if used bi-weekly. Even garlic and ginger juice can have the same effect.
Fenugreek Seeds:
Soak a few fenugreek seeds overnight and grind to a paste the next morning. Add some drops of coconut or olive oil and apply to the scalp and hair. Keep it on for two hours before washing off with your regular shampoo. Doing this at least twice a week will show improvement in hair fall within a month.
Green Tea:
Green tea is rich in antioxidants that stimulate hair growth. Soak a couple of green tea bags for a while and apply while still warm on the scalp. You can wash your hair after one hour.
Coconut Milk:
The benefits of coconut for hair are unbeatable. You can either use readymade coconut milk, or make it by squeezing it out of fresh, ground coconut. Massage the milk into the roots till it dries. Wash off with water and a mild shampoo. Your hair will instantly feel nourished and manageable.
Gooseberry or Amla:
Whether its amla juice or powder, it will surely help put a stop to hair loss. You can make your own homemade oil by boiling dried amla with pure coconut oil, until it changes colour to black. Apply this oil twice a week for two months and you will see your hair getting thicker and shinier.
Hair fall from Stress
Severe hair fall could also be because of a health concern. Regular exercise and proper diet is essential for good health. Stress can also cause hair loss, so meditate to keep your mind clear. Avoid junk food and take vitamin supplements regularly. If the problem still persists, you should see a dermatologist and take proper medication.
